North Dakota's 'Flying Farmer' wrecks car during daredevil jump



A daredevil known as the "The Flying Farmer" crashed his car during a stunt in North Dakota on Saturday and was put into the intensive care unit with a huge slash on his arm. John Smith will undergo surgery for the injury on Monday.

John Smith, 57, twisted his Chevrolet Caprice as it drove off a slope in a rock pit in Makoti before a horde of around 300 onlookers.

As per the Bismarck Tribune, Smith endured "an immense slice" in his arm and has been in escalated care since the mishap.

Smith was contending with his child, Brian, 34, to see who could bounce their vehicle the farthest.

The more youthful Smith effectively finished a 90-foot-bounce before his dad crashed and crisis teams utilized the Jaws of Life to remove him from the vehicle.

Smith's shenanigans are known statewide and he has performed north of 100 leaps since the 1990s, however, Saturday's was his first beginning around 2016 when he hopped a consuming trailer.
